Citizens' Guard Holds Large Gathering in Honolulu

The Citizens' Guard assembled at the drill shed last Saturday evening in a marked success with about four hundred attendees from the President to rank and file. President Dole and cabinet, army officers, executives, and invited guests filled a long front table while a crowd enjoyed stereopticon scenes of the Provisional Government, the annexation era, and portraits of Dole and others. A dinner followed with praise for Hedeman Pratt and a closing chorus. remarks by Dole, Minister Hatch, Captain Cochrane, and others capped the celebration amid humor and patriotic tributes.
