More Filipinos Arrive in Maru
The third shipment of Filipinos arrived aboard the Nippon Maru last night. Forty four persons comprised the party with 28 men 9 women and 7 children all from the Hoecanos tribe. Ages range from 18 to 35 except one man 45. They are strong healthy and clean in appearance and will be sent to Hawaii to work on plantations in Kau district. They are quartered at River and Panahtet hotels awaiting transport.
