Supreme Court Upholds Fire Loss Compensation Decision
The Supreme Court of the Territory today upheld a judgment in the estate of Willan Hravh. The Fire Commission, created under act 15 of the Sosson Laws of 1901, awarded $800 to the estate for losses caused by a fire set under Board of Howith during the plague. Pane Kins Cheo and Lum Kan and others who owned the burned buildings joined motions to receive the full sum, but the Chronle Court sustained the estate’s award on appeal.
