Electric carh soon on Honolulu tramways
A bark delivered the first electric plant for the Hawaiian Tramways Co. to the Hawaiian Electric Co. More equipment is en route from San Francisco to switch from mules to electric motive power. Two motor cars will arrive soon to serve as patterns and parts may be built locally. The old rails will be used while the permanent way is completed. No return wire is needed due to the short distance. For now the cars will run as trailers.
