A new house and lot on the tramways line at Kapalama is offered with a 65 by 100 feet site rented at 120 dollars yearly and advertised for cash sale. Five additional lots in the same area are available at reasonable prices, according to W. O. Achi.

The Hilo paper reports the Kalaw church dedication on January 8 with Bishop of Paropolis Fathers Mathing and Bonaventura and Deacon Aloya presiding. A 100-child confirmation, and music by St Joseph’s choir and Hilo Portuguese band, marked the ceremony.

He served as Post Commander of Atlanta Post, G A R, of Froana and led a life across Gettysburg, the South Seas, and Hawaii before settling in California as a bookkeeper.

On Friday, the overthrow anniversary, concerts are at the Executive building at 9 am and Emma Square at 3 pm. Saturday marks William I’s proclamation celebrations with performances at Independence Park at 3 pm and a Hawaiian Hotel banquet in the evening. Lights are lacking at Thomas Square for evening shows, and Emma Square lighting is poor for night concerts.
Manager Cameron states Wirths Circus will perform at Kwa on Monday evening next, return to Honolulu that night, then proceed to Lihue Kauai on Tuesday. The Jan 27 show in Honolulu begins six performances, the last to be given on the Islands.
