Noble Dies in California Former Hawaiian Resident

James F Noble, once a noted resident of the islands and an aide to Gev. W. De Long Post, I A H, died at Fresno on December 18 after a long illness. He served as Post Commander of Atlanta Post, G A R, of Froana and led a life across Gettysburg, the South Seas, and Hawaii before settling in California as a bookkeeper.

Government Band Schedules Across Honolulu Areas

The Hawaiian band will perform from 3 to 4 this afternoon at the Coptic off and at 4 30 the concert moves to the Executive building. Tomorrow it plays at Thomas Square at 4 pm. On Friday, the overthrow anniversary, concerts are at the Executive building at 9 am and Emma Square at 3 pm. Saturday marks William I’s proclamation celebrations with performances at Independence Park at 3 pm and a Hawaiian Hotel banquet in the evening. Lights are lacking at Thomas Square for evening shows, and Emma Square lighting is poor for night concerts.

Wirths Circus Announces Island Shows and Final Honolulu Run

Manager Cameron states Wirths Circus will perform at Kwa on Monday evening next, return to Honolulu that night, then proceed to Lihue Kauai on Tuesday. The Jan 27 show in Honolulu begins six performances, the last to be given on the Islands.
