The Annexation Club announces its first of a monthly series, inviting all attendees. Hon L A Thurston will outline the officers' campaign. Minister Cooper plans remarks on his U S visit and views on annexation. Senators McCandless and Rep A G M Robertson will also speak.
Two Chinese men faced Judge de la Vergee this morning charged with assaulting a countryman. Prosecutor Robertson and defense attorney J L de Bolt appeared. Evidence was conflicting. The court discharged two defendants and fined one twelve dollars, with the other two fined three dollars and costs.
The Dublin Freeman’s Journal discusses C Bailey of the Irish Land Commission's article in National Review on the South African native question.
