Yesterday at Kapiolani Park a crowd of about 300 watched Clarence Mackrlone's Salvador and Gus Sehuman's Jadish race for 2500. Salvador won heat one after a late start by the mare broke repeatedly, heat two went to Jadish but Salvador gained in the end, and heat three saw Jadish falter as the mare broke, cementing Salvador's overall victory. Officials kept times unofficial. judges noted multiple breaks by the mare but concluded Salvador led the series.
