Explosives Charge Leads to Arrest in Police Court

Frank Corres appeared in the Police Court on a charge of setting off explosives in a public street. Deputies described an observation of three young men and a subsequent second blast. Correa surrendered a bamboo cane modified to explode with a 22 caliber cartridge. A box of Extra Loud cartridges was found in a pocket. He was fined 10 dollars and costs and given a severe reprimand by Judge Wilcox.

Honolulu reporter denies claim about judge link

EAVES SON AS HEIR TO GUFFIAN ESTATE IN DISPUTE

The late Archibald Guffian Gilfillan and Mabel Phillips were linked by a 1930s Honolulu divorce. Firecracker Nuisance Leads to Police Court Actions

Four young boys were arrested last evening for letting off firecrackers in the street. Reprimanded and discharged by Judge Wilcox in Police Court this forenoon. The incident nearly caused a panic on the crowded street. No one may set off firecrackers without permission from the Governor. in his absence, consent must come from a district magistrate.
