Hilo dedicates the man Masonic Temple building praised as one of the finest in the islands and the best equipped Masonic Home in the Pacific. No ceremonies are scheduled this afternoon, with a banquet to be held later.
A Russian agitator and his six children were moved to the police station after a Quarantine Service request. Sheriff Jarrett was away, leaving Deputy Jarrow to handle the visit. The profit and loss show a credit balance of 25105.01 dollars, with 1871.06 tons of sugar produced in 1909 and an average of 6.48 tons per sory. The 1910 crop is on 248 acres. Grinding ran Jan 12 to Feb 16, 25 tons of sugar processed. Water supply costs appear in the plantation records, and net for the year ends show 244005.62 dollars with 20 percent dividends.
This morning at the police court the lease against the Alexander Young Cafe was heard before Judge An Urhole. Deputy County Attorney Mu Yorton prosecuted, and Attorney Olson appeared for the cafe people. The witness Manan ef Hertechewie testified the cafe was part of the hotel, a second dining room with a separate kitchen for convenience. The defense contended the cafe was distinct from the hotel and not part of it, while evidence showed liquor could be served with meals and non residents could enter for dining and liquor. Opinions among those who heard the arguments were evenly divided.
Due to a misunderstanding there will be no concert on the Alaander Young Hotel Roof Garden tonight. The Royal Hawaiian and Means Hotel will feature performances tomorrow evening between seven thirty and nine thirty. The public is invited.
