A chaotic Honolulu scene unfolds as a man attacks with a hatchet at the Makiki station, injuring a milkman and a bystander before fleeing. Collins, pursued by officers, is severely knocked unconscious and later shot, with reports of the assailant surviving despite initial fears. Police continue investigations.
