Baseball Grounds and Uniforms Stir 1898 Honolulu Scene
The Union Club expects a compromise with the Baseball Association and the 1898 League over Makiki grounds for this season. New San Francisco made uniforms arrive, with play likely starting April 9 and a 27 game schedule discussed. Pitcher news centers on Bensie Lemon and George Wools, with Akiva and Aiwobi behind the plate and Harry Wilder and Perry Lishman in infield roles. A band concert at the Hawaiian hotel closes the report with local notices and ads about Anchor beer and Elite Barber Shop offerings.
