Supreme Court speed praised as cases move swiftly

The court's quick rulings draw favorable comment from legal circles. A recent decision on the maturity of limitations clarifies a territory right to file motions for tax, submitted February 1 and decided February 5. The new trend emphasizes timely dispositions, with some cases handed down within four days. Judges debate whether to escalate knotty questions to the Supreme Court to avoid protracted appeals, while critics complain about brevity in circuit court briefs and the need for sharper written arguments. The piece also notes maritime cargo and quarantine procedures for ships Stella del Mare and related health measures at the harbor.
