Prices for flour advanced in Northwest mills
Portland Oregon December 1 The Portland Milling Company gained control of Northwest flour bunkers and the Seattle Haw company along with a network from Seattle through Oregon to California. Wilcox named president, redeploying four mills under one banner. Flour prices rose from 1 9 to 8 1 8 cents per barrel due to high blue stem wheat prices, with freight rates increasing and vessels recalled from storage to move lumber to San Pedro.
