J W Gatvin reported at noon thirty four of the sixty nine Chinese r rived in the Giavlio this morning are definitely rejected while fourteen are held for further investigation and the rest are allowed to lead Hawaiian citizens and resident merchants are among those affected Inspector Joshua K Brown declined to predict action if the Hawaiian Supreme Court assumes jurisdiction and releases petitioners in habeas corpus cases saying we'll cross the river when we come to it.
