Everybody Play Ball A Benefit Exhibition By Old Timers
A charity baseball game organized by the BuLerin plans to pit two teams of veteran island players against each other. Volunteers include Whitney, Rosa, Spencer, Jones, Thurston, Kamakauahoa, Wodehouse and many more. Proceeds go to multiple local benevolent societies, with ballots printed to allocate funds.

Death of a Bennington sailor sparks cholera alarm
A 22 or 23 year old American apprentice named Coolan died of cholera aboard the U S S Bennington, first white victim since the outbreak.
