Cruiser Cincinnati In Port For Five Days Stay

Cruiser Cincinnati arrives at the naval dock for a five day stay. Captain John G Quinby leads a ship praised for its condition and crew morale. The vessel, 610 feet long with a worn pennant, sailed from Yokohama on the 14th and endured a heavy storm en route. The crew of 380 is noted as exceptional, with speed tests praised. The ship is a Raleigh class cruiser, near identical to the flagship minus a mast, and will proceed to the Coast as part of the fourth division. Local rumors from Chefoo regarding a wild story were dismissed by sailors. The main excitement centered on Fourth of July preparations before Minnesota's arrival.
