Chinese Suspect Charged in Night Time Murder on Lihue River

A Chinese taro planter in the Lihue district is charged with murdering a countryman on the night of August 7. Three Chinese men reportedly crossed the river, one fired from the shadows, and two fled. one victim died from gunshot wounds while a large shotgun charge left the back of the slain man pockmarked.
