Death at Palolo Valley rock crusher claims Walter Lee

Walter Lee, superintendent of Palolo Land & Improvement Co, was killed at Palolo valley when rock crusher machinery fouled by lodged rock halted unexpectedly. Initial reports indicate Lee may have been trying to clear the belt and pulley system when killed. coroner to hold inquest later. Lee, aged about 40 to 45, had worked in the islands for 15 years and was highly regarded by employees. He leaves a widow and several children, with funeral arrangements pending.
