Knights of Pythias gathering in San Francisco at the Palace Hotel draws about 190 of 14,000 members for the annual session. Supreme Chancellor Oxden Hofman Rethers and other dignitaries attend as credentials are reviewed and past grand chancellors are conferred. A gift of two gavels from the platform Washington stood on is presented.
