McBryde Bonds Taken Over by Bank of Hawaii

The Bank of Hawaii will assume remaining McBryde bonds and mortgage debts. C M Cooke, bank president, said the bank would take up the $730 balance to clear the plantation of indebtedness with agents.

Honolulu Chamber Elects Officers In Annual Meeting

At 10 o clock this morning the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce held its annual election. Lowrey was elected president, with Girard as vice president and D. P. R. Inonberg named trustee. Several trustees received votes, including Morgan, Swanzy, Spalding, and others, with some candidates withdrawing. The retiring president Tenney pledged to outline actions for the coming year.

Board of Education reports examination results for primary certificates

The Board of Education announced results from Hawaii and the stations of Lihue, Honolulu, and Waialua. Of 43 applicants, 22 earned first, second class and three failed. Waialua showed four first class, two second, four failed. Lihue had ten applicants with ten first and thirteen calls, while Lahina and other stations posted mixed outcomes.
