Two Small Fires Alarm City Fire Department Responds

Firemen answered two alarms after midnight and in the early afternoon. A cottage on Queen Street owned by Russian Frank’s establishment was saved from total loss, while a second blaze near School Street in a cottage occupied by Captain Thompson of the Ke subon household was fully destroyed with personal effects valued at about a sizable sum.

Bootewain Bow Charged With First Degree Larceny

James Bennett known as Bootewain Bow faced Otis Court on larceny in the first degree with bail set at 500 dollars. His trial is scheduled for the 19th. He allegedly entered D. G. Camarinos roll and stole 200 dollars from his pocket while Camarinos slept.
