Major Dunning Impounds Cows At Camp Shafter Milk Case

Soldiers at Camp Shafter milked neighboring cows that wandered onto the Major’s green. Major Dunning, in command, ordered fences around officers’ quarters to stop yard intrusions after learning the law on cow enclosures. He vows further impounding and creaming until owners deter cows from the camp land.

The Territorial Government plans a training team to Camp Perry Ohio with a 26 to 20 member pool chosen from a recent rifle shoot. Major Riley will be captain, with a coach and spotter. 15 players plus alternates and a team director.

Howe and Scott Lead Moana Billiards Battle

A three game championship billiards series at the Moana Hotel pits Mr. Howe against Hob Scott with Scott carrying a 300 to 200 point handicap. The first game finished Saturday night as Scott used 146 of his lead. The second game starts at 8 pm in the Moana billiard room, with the third slated for Thursday evening.

Saloon Keeper J D Moore Arrested For Sunday Liquor Sale

J D Moore of the Palace saloon was arrested yesterday for selling liquor on Sunday. His case appeared in police court this morning and was continued. Police and Inspector Fennell are collecting evidence against several saloon keepers applying for rehearings to be presented to the License Board when their cases come up.

Commissioner Ishii Hughs Entertained In Tanta and Mochizuki Club Banquet

Commissioner Ishii was hosted in Tanta by Consul Saito Banker Akal and the Merchants Union, pleased with the visit and thanked the committee. At Mochizuki Club a banquet followed with Con sulo Saito Akai and staff, Merchants Union reps, press, and Harry Johnston attending as guests. The Army Transport Thomas, Captain Lyman, sailed from the naval wharf at 11 this morning with five locals leaving on the passenger list. Mayor Hustace greeted Viceroy Carter during the day.

Indiana Will Sail Tonight With Japanese Passengers
