J T Waterhouse touts Honolulu department store plans to become the islands’ finest by offering cash bought goods at discounts. The ad highlights hardware for daily prep, new Queen Pudding Bowl, agate ware, bread boards, dust pans, meat choppers, fry pans and W P Fuller’s ready mixed paints as dependable for home use.
Notice states intention to foreclose on property described as a parcel of land in Kana hath desubled 1556, 10K and leine Opyknatny Waikiki, Gulia, Royal Parent No,ais, Kusloana HN. It outlines sale to occur for recovery of debt with details on location and parcel size.
Trustees of the Bernice Pauahi Bishop estate report annual finances and developments. They note payoff of an overdraft to Bishop & Co and sale of Keona Hale for a high school project. The Pineapple Cannery at Emmveluth and Kidwell’s plantation operates at full blast aiming for four to five thousand cases of first class canned fruit this season. The late Phil Braun and his wife were mourned by immediate friends as they accompanied the body to St. Andrew's Cathedral. Pallbearers from the volunteer fire department rode to the cemetery where Lev. Alex Mackintosh conducted the service and Wray Taylor played. The casket bore a silver name plate reading Ernst Otto Philip Braun born Kassel Germany July 25 1842 died Honolulu August 2 1906. The court martial convened to try Captain Good held its final session last night and delivered a verdict to Minister Cooper who will approve or modify it. Court members remain sworn to secrecy until the minister makes the decision public.

Chief Steward Goodchild plans to quit steamboating, accepting a post at the Hongkong Hotel upon the China’s arrival.
M S Levy, a Port-street dry goods merchant, left for Kalihi on Monday without informing family or staff. Police later brought him back to town. creditors attacked the store in his absence and a guard was placed at the door.
