New Bicycle Track At Kewalo Desky Plans Grand Opening

Deaky's new bicycle track at Kewalo is advancing, with W H Cummings the contractor and W A Wall the surveyor. The one third mile course will wind around Cyclomere Lake, with natural cement surface, a 9 foot fencing, and a grand stand seating 800, plus press and dressing rooms. Night racing will feature arc lights and officials plan a four week tournament starting September 15, with invited Eastern and California riders and carriages at the entrance near Booth and King Streets.

McCandless Bros Expand Water Wells at Koloa Plantations

The McCandless Bios have completed boring six 12 inch walla at the Koloa plantation, led by Antone Cropp. The wells reach 300 feet, yield about one million gallons daily, with water rising BL feet above sea level.
