Supreme Court ruling on Honolulu street railway rights
The court, led by Chief Justice Galbraith, addresses whether the Hawaiian Tramways Company may operate an electric tramway and whether the Honolulu Rapid Transit and Land Company may lay a 1700 foot track on King Street. The decision confirms both the electrification proviso limits and the 1700 foot track right, with clarification that the public may have other street rights.
