Dedication of First Methodist Church in Honolulu

The article reports the April 19 1806 dedication of Honolulu s first Methodist Episcopal Church built by the society and completed near Beretania and Miller streets. Reverend D P Judd Hosts Hawaiian Society on 121st Lexington Concord Eve

Chief Justice A F Judd and Mrs Judd entertained the Hawaiian Society Sons of the Revolution on Nuuanu Avenue on the eve of the 121st anniversary of the Lexington Concord battle. D P Birnie opened with prayer. P C Jones and Chief Justice Judd gave descriptive remarks. Mrs Hall recited Longfellow and Mrs Castle spoke of Concord’s modern town and its celebration. W J Alexander noted an ancestor who died in the Revolutionary War. A potential chapter of the Daughters of the Revelation was mentioned. A special service followed at Central Union Church.
