Bonded to Death: Tragic Scalding of 14 Month Old Alfredo Tavarez

A Portuguese infant Alfredo Tavarez, fourteen months old, suffered fatal burns yesterday morning at Mintebun after tipping a coffee pot. Doctors tried remedies, but the scalding proved fatal. The child was buried in the Catholic cemetery this morning.

Puritan Social at Methodist Parsonage Tomorrow Evening

The Puritan Social of the Methodist church will be held at the parsonage at 7:30 tomorrow evening. J. M. Webb and Mrs. Lyle will conduct the program with music and special literary features. An old fashioned New England dinner will conclude the event.

Yachting Parties Return After Peninsula Trip

Several yachting parties sailed the Peninsula trip on Saturday and Sunday. The Clytio, under Mesara Pearson and Hebron OC, and Bo Gray led the Combination. A large party went to the Lewis Sunday aboard the Union Express Company steam launch.
