Rixth Artillery Coming to Honolulu on Nippon Maru
The Nippon Maru will carry three, possibly four, batteries of the Sixth United States Artillery to Honolulu on its April 12 voyage under Major Samuel M. Milla. Batteries from St Francis Barracks, Fort Monroe, and a newly recruited unit at Fort McHenry are reassigned to Virginia Florida and other posts as the law expands artillery to fourteen batteries per regiment.
