Two die in Bellefontaine Railway wreck near Quine Carve
On May 9 at about 10:30 p m a light engine and a construction train collided on the Bellefontaine Railway at Quine Carve between Bellefontaine and Sidney Ohio. Engineers Scoville and Kramer were killed and a 15 year old boy named Ashmead riding on one engine also died. One fireman escaped unhurt the other dislocated his shoulder but survived. Both engines were badly damaged.
