Morning Prayer Meetings appointed by the World Christian Alliance attract large crowds at Vine Street Church with strong interest. Today’s focus is prayer for union among Jews and Gentiles and for divine blessing on evangelizing the unconverted worldwide. The Walnut Street Church hosts the gathering inviting Christian people to attend.
Two men visited the office offering a reward for recovering a mare owned by Richard Wilson valued at 10 to 312 dollars. Suspect Jasper Dill, recently visiting relatives, fled. Dill lives in Illinois and has ties to Mt. Vernon.

The West’s largest and most complete hardware establishment, George Sonntag & Co., has completed a four story marble front building on First Street. The spacious interior features glass doors, lighted rooms, and a grand stair, with extensive stock and sample exhibition for customers.

John Denier on the tight rope drew another huge crowd. Miss Maggie Will lett and J Wesner Hite misattribution corrected. Tragedian Mr. J. Wesner Hite leaves Armada for Henderson for Mr. Golden engagement. Grand Opera advertised for the 2th and 2th with more details to come.
City notices announce the sale of a two horse express wagon at auction on Saturday in the auction room at 85 Main Street. The sale starts at 2 o clock in the afternoon. HH Nelson is the auctioneer.
An advertisement urges readers to visit Hodge Carr and Company at the Water and Sycamore Streets corner to buy liquors cheaper and in greater quantity with guaranteed representations. It promises best value and lower prices than competitors.
The Old Reliable Adams Express Company has moved to 71 South First Street and invites friends to visit the new office. During the manager's absence, New England Mutual Life Insurance transactions will be handled by Dr. J Johnston at Third Street between Main and Locust, with C H Amen overseeing. Contemporary ads note men’s wear and a Ward theatre display.
Local notice extols the Knabe piano with a factory capable of 35 to 50 weekly. A letter from E Muzwa, Musical Director of the Italian Opera, lauds its tone depth volume and touch. Warren Conynaron sells Knabe and other pianos and organs at No. 1 Main Street Evansville.
Auction begins Friday at 10 a m and 2 p m with fifteen thousand dollars of dry goods offered at half price. High bidder wins and buyers are urged to come with cash to purchase from T M Elliott’s entire stock.
Remover Head and Mooney move stock to No 10 Second Street between Main and Locust and will sell at cost. They invite former customers with greater inducements for all dry goods. For Sale Cook and Healy offer the stock and fixtures of the Housekeepers Emprium to entrants in the grocery and house furnishing business. Mr Cook has purchased a farm near Boston and must take possession by April 1 1867.
