Galvin Found Guilty in Murder Case in Memphis

James Galvin was found guilty of murder in the first degree for killing policeman Fenton last Christmas in U S District Court. The case, involved an $250,000 life insurance dispute with St Louis Mutual Life Insurance Company, alleging nonpayment of premiums. Train death in Cincinnati and whisky seizure verdict

In Cincinnati John Ficker employed by Mears Kyle Co was run over and killed by a train near the depot at 10 this morning. In the Southern District of Ohio Judge Leavitt led a jury verdict for the Government against three lots of whisky including 20 barrels claimed by Charles Stevens of New Richmond Ohio and 359 barrels with the distillery and other details.
