Installation set for June 28 at Pine Meadows Country Club guest speaker Bill Paddon new Florida Jaycees national director. The drive starts Monday June 30 dues for associate members are $10 and funds stay in Eustis for local activities.

The first graduation ceremony for Lake County Area Vocational-Technical Center will honor 235 students in Mount Dora. One hundred fifty students will receive diplomas or certificates at 8 p.m. in the Mount Dora Community Building Auditorium, Baker Street, with 47 high school diplomas and 150 certificates from various schools. Fifty students opt for private diplomas or certificates. ten nursing students completed courses earlier, bringing total prepared for jobs this year to 235.

Mrs. May Meredith Parpart earned a pest control operator license for lawns and ornamentals after passing the Florida Pest Control Commission exam. At 57 she enrolled at Lake County Area Vocational Technical Center in Citrus and Ornamental Horticulture, becoming the sole woman in a group of 15 successful candidates.
