Longtime Eustis leader C Harold Hippler dies at 71
C Harold Hippler of Eustis dies after a long illness in Waterman Memorial Hospital. He practiced law in Illinois before moving to Eustis in 1927 and served as City Attorney there and for Umatilla. A leader in Kiwanis and local government, he held numerous posts including president of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce and Eustis School Board chairman. Survived by his wife Mary Lucille, children Jack, C J, C H Jr, daughter Mrs John Nelson Jr, and eight grandchildren. Rosary Tuesday at Zeller Kennedy Hamlin, funeral Wednesday at St Marys of the Lakes Catholic Church.

Absentees Turn Tide In Grand Island Primary Vote
In Lake County Democratic primary tallies absentee ballots swung results. Dewey Livingston won Commission District 4 and Porter Jr. captured key county posts aided by absentee voting.
