Anderson College to graduate largest class in history
Doris Virginia Davis of Eustis Florida will be among 90 graduates at Anderson College commencement on June 10. Dr. John A Morrison president will address the largest graduating class as Miss Davis prepares to teach. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs A F Davis of 227 Palm Ave and a graduate of Eustis High School.

Bruce M Carswell son of Col and Mrs R M Carswell of Eustis graduates from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He attended Lawrence High School in Falmouth Mass and Columbian School in Washington DC before his appointment. He earned four athletic awards as a fencer in epee and foil and played Lacrosse. He held Cadet Sergeant rank and served on the Ticket Escort Cadet Chapel Acolytes Fishing Club committees. Upon graduation he will be commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Engineers.

The Eustis The Friendly City float earned third place at the Watermelon Festival in Leesburg. Miss Dolly Beard led the beauty contest as queen, with runners up Miss Peggy Elder and Miss Gracie Etty.
