A new device called the dictograph promises to surpass the telephone by transmitting spoken words and tone over distances up to 15 feet with perfect clarity. The compact six by eleven inch box acts as a silent ear and mouth, enabling executives to converse across rooms or buildings without speaking into a mouthpiece.
