Joe Josephs who runs the State Orphans Home denies charges of misdirecting funds by buying liquor for personal use and charging it to the Home as vinegar. James Watt Surrenders in Larceny Case

James Watt surrendered to the Sheriff of Lander County at Austin on Tuesday of last week. Indicted years ago with George Williams on four counts of grand larceny and mismarking cattle, Watt appeared with his attorney before Judge Peter Breen and was admitted to bail of 500 on each charge, totaling 2000. The case will be set for trial at the next term in Austin. The Reno dispatch notes Nevada delegates failed to push Reno at the National Irrigation Congress, Boise chosen secretary H B Maxson, and Reno not listed as a candidate.
