John Cazier of Star Valley Elko County was named elector candidate for the Democratic ticket by the State Central Committee executive group to replace the late EB A Johnson who died October 3 at Elo. John P Reynolds of Sparks was appointed to the State Central Committee to fill the late W A Martin's Sparks seat.
In a Federal Court trial at Carson, Professor Lawson and Mr. Birch testified for Mammoth National Mines. Geologists ran a probe from station 327 on the No 3 level to locate a fault allegedly cutting the National vein. They estimated the fault at about 260 feet from station 827 but found it at 268 feet, missing by 18 feet. Spectators noted the instructive testimony from experts for both sides as one of Nevada’s most significant cases, involving millions.
