State Conventions Held at Carson City

The Republican and Democratic State Conventions at Carson City named permanent committees and chairmen. Richards won the Republican nomination without opposition. Harry Stewart became permanent chairman for the Republicans, with Spellier as temporary secretary. A full quota of committeemen was authorized and a secretary will be chosen by the State central committee.

Rules for Parcel Post Packages

Postmasters must require full sender and addressee names and addresses on parcels addressed by tag only. Tires bags machinery suit cases and other items should not be accepted for insurance or delivery if addressed by tag only. Detached tags cause undelivered parcels and prompt stricter handling.

Boy Killed in Lamoille Auto Wreck

Elko Independent reports a fatal Lamoille Sunday auto crash killed 17 year old John Billet, injuring two other youths. Trescartes, driver, fled the scene. Billet’s skull was crushed as the car rolled. Funeral arrangements followed in Lamoille with family survivors listed.

Comerford Named to San Francisco Education Post
