Shooting Scrape in Goldfield Over Ore Theft Dispute

Sherman Parker and James Smith, assay office workers in Goldfield, fought in the street last Saturday after a dispute over $800 worth of high grade ore. Revolvers and a shotgun were used, Parker was hit by buckshot but not seriously injured. Smith was arrested after pouring a shotgun blast. both men had moved from Colorado two years ago.
