A wartime sermon extols the Red Cross as the living expression of mercy and brotherhood guiding nations through the horrors of war toward peace. It asserts the Red Cross sustains courage, upholds human rights, and embodies the ideals for which armies fight.
After December 10 1917 all dogs found running at large without muzzles in Eureka County will be killed without further notice due to rabies in the area. A dog head examined by the Nevada University this week was pronounced rabid. Sheriff James Mackey of Eureka County issues the notice from Eureka Nevada dated December 8 1917.
Notice that taxes on the proceeds of the mines in Eureka County Nevada for the quarter ending March 31 1918 are due and payable to meet the office of the assessor W J Hooper. The law will be strictly enforced.
Water notice announces Application No. 5050 by E A Skillman Eureka County for permission to appropriate Pony Express Spring water.
