Old Tybo Ming Mine Leased by Eastern Syndicate
The Ely Record reports the 2-G Tybo mine in Nye County, once owned by the Bernheimer estate, has been leased to a strong Eastern capitalists syndicate and will soon resume operations. Past development cost about half a million dollars, with several hundred thousand tons of ore proven. Located between Ely and Tonopah, the ore’s grade may not justify transport, prompting plans for a concentrating plant and truck shipment to Ely or Tonopah for smelting.
