The Sentinel received a letter from James L. Butler, discoverer of Tono pah, now in San Francisco, stating he was misrepresented in a San Francisco Call article published March 9 and republished in the Sewmont on March 16. He asserts the attributed remarks do not belong to him and notes witnesses in Eureka, Nevada who know him personally. The Semixer says the piece was Western levity and not meant to reflect on Butler.
