White Slavers Held For Trial In U S District Court

The hearing of Thomas O'Neill and Ruby Wells of Ely on white slaving charges concluded with the defendants remanded to Salt Lake City for trial after testimony from three women Margie Carrington Bertie Chicken Arlington and Lota Ketting. They were granted liberty on bonds. The case contends the pair recruited girls to Ely for a house of ill fame. Arlington aged 18 alleged to be a victim. The defendants offered no defense.
