Water-glass or sodium silicate can be bought as a liquid for about 50 cents a gallon. Use 10 quarts boiled and cooled water to 1 pint water-glass, mix well, then submerge eggs with two inches of solution above them. Sufficient for about five dozen eggs. Buy from large drug firms.
