Quotes on Women Voices and Power Across Time
A collage of aphorisms and literary lines about women from diverse authors and eras. The quotes celebrate influence, beauty, loyalty, and perceived weaknesses, contrasting praise with critique of women’s behavior and social roles. The tone mirrors editorial miscellany and era-specific sentiment.
Progress of the War and Przemysl Fall Mark Week in War
The Salt Lake Tribune reports on Germany's submarine note to the United States, its claim of justified self defense, and hopes for mutual understanding on facts while continuing warfare. It notes the Austro German capture of Przemysl, Russian retreat shortening lines, and Italian, French, and British actions from the Isonzo to Ypres. It also mentions Mesopotamian successes, Dardanelles fighting, and a new British air raid plus a Marmara Sea report. The piece closes with a Sunnyside note on favorable ranching conditions in Ely and surrounding areas.
