Montrealer claims $85 million shell contract for Russia
J W Butler of Montreal, vice president of Steel Foundries of Canada and Canadian Car and Foundry, arrived in New York with news of a Petrograd contract to produce 5,000,000 high power shells for $85,000,000. He said Canadian plants would start at once and urged Britain to rely on Canada for rapid production to break German trench fortifications.
