Nellie L. Richardson longtime Nevada teacher died at Reno Hospital after illness of 16 weeks. Native of Iowa, she came to Reno with her parents, taught in Beowawe Palisade and Carson, later lived with Lawrence Kearney in Reno. Survived by parents three sisters and two brothers. Funeral set for tomorrow in Carson with cremation burial beside her late husband.

Eureka baseball team and 40 fans rode the train to Palisade for Sunday’s game. Palisade won 18 to 2 as Eureka made errors and pitched by Rot Bit Bolling. Each team now 0-1 for the season with another game set for next Sunday here. The trip and dance Saturday drew a large crowd.

Superintendent States that the north extension of the famous ore body is over 200 feet wide and expected to ship high grade ore to Hamburg. Surface cuts every 100 feet confirm the the extent as eight miners operate and more will join. Thirty sacks of ore shipped recently with no bulk extraction planned for 30 days. Two samples on Thursday show 1.6 oz gold and 51 oz silver with 27.5 percent lead and 9.8 oz gold and 10.5 oz silver with 26.5 percent lead.

At an adjourned meeting of the Board of County Commissioners the bids for a north wall and gutter at the Eureka County Court House were opened. Pastorio and Schultz offered the lowest bid at 10 dollars under the other options and the board awarded the contract. Local Freight Rates Cut Reported by Eureka Nevada Official
Agent M. P. Williams of the Eureka Nevada Railway Company announces further freight reductions mainly for sheep and blasting powders. Sheep shipments from Eureka to Palisade drop to 28.66 dollars per carload while Diamond Station to Palisade falls to 24.82 dollars. The powder rate now stands at 1.50 dollars per hundred pounds, down from 3.18 dollars.

Death of aged parent in Pennsylvan ia Kautz
Jenners July 16 Chambers H Kautz aged 94 died at 12 o clock last night at the home of his daughter Mrs John Sipe after a period of confinement from general debility. He was a Civil War veteran serving four years in Company C 54th Regiment P W I. Survived by two sons four daughters 28 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral at 8 tomorrow with Rev Peters Lutheran Church burial United Brethren Cemetery. Wife Catherine Launtz predeceased him by 42 years.

Elko Opens Municipal Camping Ground at Hot Springs
Elko, July 27. The town now offers a municipal camping ground at the Hot Springs natatorium with two large plunges for travelers. Three summer houses provide shade, rest rooms are ready, and a forty foot shed houses automobiles. Hot and cold water is piped to the grounds and many tour parties have praised the new convenience.

Edgar Eather, V R Merlaldo, Elwood Lewis, Gus Genzoli and L Sulgon toured to Lund White Pine County last Sunday and Monday, hosting a social dance, arranging a Lund Ball Game to be played in Eureka tomorrow, and heading back with fans arriving this afternoon.
