The Windfall area attracts heavy summer attention with rich float, high gold values, and several new claims south of Secret Canyon. Eureka Smelting and Mining Company to Acquire Eureka Railroad

Eureka-Croesus Mining President EMANCIPATION FOR EUREKA F L Torres arrived in Eureka Tuesday amid reports of railroad sales and consolidations. He said the new Eureka Smelting and Mining Co will own the railroad, build smelting facilities, and later acquire key mining properties to ensure district success. He added no further details at this time and hopes to provide a fuller statement soon.

Paroni Sues Berolo Trio to Foreclose Mortgage

District Court suit commenced July 27 by Phillip Paroni against Angelo Domenica and Tranquilla Berolo seeks foreclosure of a 10340.38 mortgage on real estate merchandise stock and other personal property. Paroni has possession of all personal property and runs the Berolo merchandise store in Rureks.

Treasurer R McCharles conducted a public sale at the Buckhorn courthouse last Monday noon for five delinquent properties. Two were sold for cash. the other three were claimed by the county. Eureka attorney visits Ely over Newark Mining case

Edgar Eather of Eureka arrived in Ely Tuesday night and stayed through Wednesday to represent William Laird in subter wages and to protect the Newark Mining and Milling Company property. Attorney B L Quayle asked for more time to present the mining side while Eurekas lawyer urged prompt, fair disposal. Rumors of Henry Ford potentially acquiring the Eureka Palleade railroad were not confirmed. W R Adams of Sparks named secretary of the Republican State Central Committee.
