A New Twenty Dollar Coin Fraud In Nevada
A Nevada report describes a counterfeit twenty dollar piece with drilled holes along the edge filled with a revealing substance. The maker removes about seven fifty in gold from each coin before passing it. The State Treasurer’s office received one such coin from the Winnemucca bank and two more were passed in Carson City from other sources.
