Rail line completes hundred miles to Key West

Notification sent to Florida East Coast agents that a hundred miles of railroad from the south end of Florida to Key West is finished. The project, once Fingler’s dream, now reaches offshore reefs with N R Taylor of the Weather Bureau noting rapid span. The line enables a three hour trip to Havana from any U.S. or Canadian point. Separately a protest over flour contracts for Stewart Indian Institute cites bids from Riverside Flour Mills Reno and Dangberg Minden as lower than Lind Washington, with Lind’s price $5.85 per barrel plus $1.42 freight to Carson.

Elko Boosters Pledge Sobriety On Leap Day
